29/10/2008 - 'Kabooni Carnival'

A day of fun to support young people in Carlisle will be held on Saturday (1st November.)

The ‘Kabooni Carnival’ takes place at the Harraby Community Centre from 1pm to 5pm.

It’s been organised by Botcherby, Harraby and Petteril Bank youth projects.

It’s aimed at giving young people a good time while also providing them with useful information.

The event will include a big brother style diary room where those attending can inform local agencies about what they see as their priorities in the Carlisle South area and what activities and services they would like to see developed.

Those involved include Cumbria Youth Support Services, Cumbria Police, Connexions, Carlisle City Council and Carlisle Housing Association. 

Other highlights during the day include a DJ workshop, skate ramps, soft play area, karaoke and BBQ.
