2/2/2009 - A595 resurfacing work

Resurfacing work to improve a stretch of the A595 near Kirkby in Furness is set to take place from tonight.

The work, between Kirkby Pool Bridge and Grizebeck, is due to involve closing the road for approximately five nights between 10pm and 6am.

The closure will be from the A595’s junction with the C5013 for a distance of around 1.06 kilometres in BOTH DIRECTIONS.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible during the closures as there is no suitable diversion route but the work has been timed to take place at night to cause minimum disruption.
