55 people remain unaccounted for on the Casualty Bureau files. Personnel have been working hard to locate these people. The Casualty Bureau has been switched to an answer service overnight and will reopen at 8am on Monday 23 November. Call 0800 056 0944 if you are concerned for the welfare of someone you know. If you have called to request information about someone's whereabouts, but have since made contact with them, please contact the bureau so that their file can be closed.

Cumbria Constabulary is  running a casualty bureau from 8am - 8pm  and have a list of the people who are unaccounted for at this stage. We are monitoring this situation closely and trying to match up information from concerned friends and relatives with the information that is being collected about people who are safe and sheltering in reception centres. 

Cumbria Constabulary has also attempted to contact people via other means such as FACEBOOKthis external link will open in a new window, so are urging people in West Cumbria to check their FACEBOOKthis external link will open in a new window accounts and respond to let us know that they are safe and well if they have received a direct message from us.

Friends, neighbours and relatives who have contacted the casualty bureau to report concerns about certain individuals should call the bureau on 0800 056 0944 immediately if they have since made contact with these people so we can remove them from our lists.
