Every effort is being made to continue county council business as usual in the aftermath of the floods which have hit parts of the county - particularly in Allerdale.

Tomorrow's meeting of Allerdale Local Committee IS going ahead as planned at 11.15am at the Lakeland Agricultural Business Centre in Cockermouth.

We would urge all people to check on the council's website before attending meetings on whether they are going ahead.
