As earlier in the week, the number of schools is likely to increase dramatically by Friday morning.

Parents and carers should tune into local radio for the latest information. The procedure in place for school closures is for the schools to contact BBC Radio Cumbria directly. This is so the information can get to the public as quickly as possible. BBC put this information on air every morning and maintain a very effective website with the information on it.
