Parents and carers of children with additional needs or disabilties are being urged to attend a major conference in Cumbria organised by parents for parents.
The third 'Learning to Change' event takes places at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith on Monday 19 April.
More than eighty parents are expected to attend along with representatives from Cumbria County Council's Children's Services, NHS Cumbria and Contact a Family charity.
The aim of the event, which is free, is to make positive changes to disabled children's services in Cumbria.
Topics for discussion will include the Aiming High for Disabled Children short breaks programme as well as information sharing and sharing good practice.
As a result of parent input at the two previous conferences, five local groups now meet on a regular basis to look at the issues affecting families with disabled children and how improvements can be made.
Any parent or carer wanting to attend the conference can apply for a booking form, by Friday 9 April, from the Contact a Family charity on 0191 213 6300 or email northeast.office@cafamily.org.uk
