3/9/2010 - Family history workshops come to Kendal

History lovers will have the chance to learn how to research their family trees during workshops in Kendal next week.

Two family history workshops, held at the Cumbria Records Office on Windermere Road in the town, will introduce how to use archives and other family history sources as part of Heritage Open Day on 11 September, with workshops running from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm.

Among a range of activities, anyone who comes along will get to see local workhouse and apprenticeship records as well as a Kendal Victorian prisoners’ photo album.
