Cumbria is a great place for cycling and walking. The county incorporates the whole of the Lake District National Park and there are hundreds of miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycleways to suit all tastes and abilities, including those who are less mobile. Many of the areas of forest, such as Grizedale and Whinlatter, are also open to the public for walking and cycling. There are many opportunities for combining public transport usage with cycling and walking arrangements in order to make the experience more enjoyable and convenient.
