Bus Service Link via Barker Crossing
There is now a link between Maryport and Workington, using Barker Crossing and frequent bus services running to both ends of the bridge.
Service 30/31 runs every 15 minutes in the daytime Monday to Saturday, and hourly in the evening and on Sundays, picking up and dropping passengers at stops at either end of the bridge.
Most journeys on the Southern side also run to Whitehaven via Lakes College and from there to Egremont or Frizington via Cleator Moor.
Through fares are available between all points.

Rail Links
The new Workington North temporary rail station is located just north of the River Derwent to provide vital connections between North and South Workington.
All rail journeys between Workington, Workington North, Flimby and Maryport stations are free until May 2010.
Rail travel has been boosted by a Shuttle Service provided by DRS on behalf of Northern Rail which will run each weekday. This is in addition to Northern Rails normal weekday timetable which also benefits from additional carriages.

Through Fares
Passengers travelling via bus and rail from Seaton and Northside can buy a through ticket that will take them all the way to Workington bus station - either by bus, footbridge and bus or by rail link bus, train and the service 50/51.
The fares are as follows:

Please note
(1) Bus 30/31 - Workington-Frizington via Whitehaven and Cleator Moor
The section of route between Frizington/Thornhill - Whitehaven - Workington Town Centre is running to the normal timetable every 15 minutes. The section of route between Workington Bus Station and Maryport via Siddick and Flimby is suspended, and is replaced by a 15 minute service from Maryport to Bearpot (Barker Crossing North) via Flimby and Seaton (this service does not serve Siddick or Northside)
(2) Bus 300 Whitehaven Workington Wigton - Carlisle
The daytime Monday to Saturday service now runs from Carlisle to Bearpot (Barker Crossing North) via Northside, Workington.
Passengers for Workington Bus Station and stops to Whitehaven can alight at Barker Crossing and catch the service 30/31 service from the stop at the Southern side of the bridge in Curwen Park.
The evening and Sunday service operates from Carlisle to Whitehaven via Maryport, Papcastle bypass and Workington, and does not serve the section of the normal route between Maryport and Northside.
There are also daytime journeys operating from Workington Bus Station to Whitehaven via Lillyhall.

(3) Service 100 Seaton and Northside to Workington North Station
This is a weekday service to help residents link to train services at the new Workington North Station.

Link without the need to change from Northside and Maryport to Workington
For those who have difficulty walking across the Barker Crossing or boarding trains, a bus service operates three times a day Monday to Friday from Northside and Maryport to Workington without the need for any changes of bus.
