Cumbria Local Access Forum

Meeting in action

Cumbria is proud of its strong and independent Local Access Forum.  A Local Access Forum is made up of volunteer members with a broad range of interests relating to countryside access.  They give advice and recommendations about countryside access issues.

Meetings are held every three months and are open to both the press and public.  Recent topics have included work on open access signage, steering the production of the Rights of Way Improvement Plan, and advising on new legislation.

The next meeting on the 1st December 2008 will be held at Low Hesket Village Hall, the meeting will commence at 13:15.
