This Panel has a key role to ensure services for children and young people improve and develop in response to the Every Child Matters agenda. This includes reviewing services provided by the County Council but also looking at the work of partners to deliver co-ordinated services. 

The priorities are:

  • To support children and young people to be the best they can;
  • Targeting resources to support the most vulnerable and keeping children and young people safe;
  • Maximising opportunities and raising aspirations;
  • Strengthening services and improving partnerships.
