Fares and Bargain Tickets
As part of a Government initiative, a maximum £2 Single fare will apply on many bus services across Cumbria

Please note
- Normal fares are expected to be restored from April 2023, when the funding is due to cease.
- Only the operators listed above are participating in the scheme, so normal fares will continue to apply on all other services
- School day only services are excluded from the scheme - this is not an operator's decision
Tickets can be bought on the bus, using cash, contactless card payments (not America Express) or on a mobile phone using Google Pay or Apple Pay (subject to normal maximum payments).
You can also buy season tickets online on the Stagecoach website or on their mobile app.

Available for 1 year or until 18th Birthday, whichever comes first
50% off Standard anytime, Advance, Off-peak and Season tickets
£30 for One Year
16 to 25
Available if you are 16, and no longer qualify for child fares, up until your 25th birthday
Also available for mature students (not Open University, distance learning or part-time courses)
Offers a third of most rail fares
A minimum fare of £12 applies before 10am on Monday to Friday between September and June
No restrictions in July and August or on weekends

This railcard offers a third off most tickets purchased for travel after 9.30am on weekdays, or anytime on weekends and Public Holidays

Dales Railcard
If don't qualify for any of the other railcards but live along the route of the Settle to Carlisle line (or between Carlisle and Brampton on the Tyne Valley Line) you can get discounts for travel on the Settle - Carlisle line (and parts of some other routes)
The railcard costs £10 for a year and offers a third off normal fares on the Settle - Carlisle line (and there are extra offers in Winter). Up top 4 Children traveling with the card holder can get an 81% discount on their fares (subject to a £1 minimum fare)

Visit PLUSBUS website for Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal and Oxenholme, Whitehaven, Windermere and Workington.
Combined train / bus / boat ticket saving pounds.
Take the train along the Cumbria Coast Line to Ravenglass and join the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Buying a combined Northern Rail / Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway ticket will save £4 per adult and £2 per child on buying separate tickets.
