Following the Governor Support Teams survey (PDF 56KB) held in October 2021, the Learning Improvement Service has continued to provide all schools in Cumbria, access to the NGA Learning Link e-learning modules free of charge until 18 April 2023.

Any additional governor training can be found by visiting the School Development Team page. Bookings can be made via SLA online portal.

Places for all courses must be booked through SLA Online. School Development no longer accept paper booking forms or telephone bookings.

When booking via the online system, there is an option to email course details to the delegate. Please select this option which acts as your confirmation of the booking. School Development will also send out an email reminder one week before courses are due to take place. When booking places on multiple courses, these can all be "checked out" of your shopping basket at the same time, using the same purchase order number. There is no need to check each course out separately (unless you wish to use different order numbers).

Please do not hesitate to contact the School Development Business Support Team, if you require further information (unless the course details give an alternative contact), email: schooldevelopment@cumbria.gov.uk or telephone: 01228 226817.
