Coronavirus update
Due to the impact the Coronavirus is having on all of us, we have made some temporary changes to our day to day routines to ensure we can continue to provide the best possible fire and rescue service to our communities.
Please be assured, that these changes do not affect our ability to respond to emergency 999 situations - for this it is absolutely business as usual.
The changes mean that we are following the latest government advice and are restricting the amount of public access to our community fire stations in keeping with the social distancing measures to keep you and our colleagues as protected as possible from the spread of the coronavirus. We are also limiting our programme of home safe and well visits in line with this guidance, to help protect vulnerable people in our communities as well as our staff.
Whilst you may be spending more time at home than you usually do, you could take the opportunity to double check your smoke alarms are all working and make sure that your fire escape plan is clear. Also use the time to check on family, friends and any vulnerable neighbours to make sure they are ok. If you have any concerns in relation to fire safety in your home or business please continue to contact us.
Stay up to date with the latest government advice.
