At 00:08 hours on 2nd June 2020 two fire engines attended a persons reported fire on Manchester Street, Barrow in Furness. The fire involved the oven in the kitchen of a domestic property. Fire fighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a thermal imaging camera, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. One casualty evacuated the premise prior to fire service arrival and was assessed by North West ambulance service. Crews were in attendance for forty minutes.

At 11:06 hours on June 1st 2020 two fire engines attended a road traffic collision on the a66 at Portinscale Keswick. One male was trapped in a vehicle and fire crews used two sets of Holmatro cutting gear to release the casualty. The casualty was then transferred to the air ambulance and fire service were at the scene for just under one and a half hours.

Fire fighters used four breathing apparatus, two main jets, two hose reel jets, a positive pressure ventilation and two thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately five hours.

On 30th May at 22:50 Hours eight Fire Engines, an Aerial Ladder Platform and a welfare unit were called to a commercial property fire on Ladies Walk, Workington. A large three story building was well alight on arrival of Fire Service Personnel. Crews rescued one person from inside the building and used Breathing Apparatus, Hose Reel Jets, Main Jets and Ground Monitors to extinguish the fire. Fire service personnel in attendance approximately fifteen hours.

At 09:17 hours on 29th May 2020 two fire engines from Kendal and Sedbergh attended a barn fire at High Branthwaite in Sedbergh. Fire crews used a hose reel, small tools and thermal imaging camera to make the scene safe. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately forty five minutes.

On arrival crews discovered one high sided silage trailer loaded with used vehicle tyres well alight, the fire had also spread to an agricultural barn. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, small tools, a thermal imaging camera and triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was left in the care of the North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately ninety minutes.

On arrival at a domestic property, crews used a carbon monoxide detector and discovered a leak involving a wood burning stove. Fire crews evacuated and ventilated the property and were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.

On arrival crews discovered a fire involving a deep fat fryer on a cooker hob in a domestic property and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. One casualty was treated at the scene using oxygen therapy and a first aid kit and handed over to the care of the Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately an hour and five minutes.

At 23:47 hours on Tuesday 5th may 2020 six fire engines, water bowser, wildfire unit, welfare unit and aerial ladder platform and a command and control unit attended reports of a building fire on the C1037 Southwaite, Carlisle in Cumbria. On arrival crews found an 18m X 30m open sided waste storage unit to be fully involved in fire. Crews extinguished the fire using a ground monitor, two main jets and water delivered through an ariel platform. Heavy lifting machinery was also used to remove storage from the unit.Crews were in attendance for approximately seventeen hours.
