At 16:14 hours two Fire Engines were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles at Thwaite Flat, Dalton-in-Furness. Firefighters provided first aid to one casualty and handed the casualty over to North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.

At 00:42 hours on 21st August 2019, three Fire Engines were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle which had overturned on the carriageway of the M6 northbound, between junctions 36 and 37. Fire fighters extricated one casualty from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and spreading equipment, and the casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.

At 18:09 on Tuesday 20th August Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire near Todhills, Blackford. Firefighters used one hose reel jet and a CO2 extinguisher to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.

At 08:55 Firefighters were called to a report of a road traffic accident involving a large vehicle which had impacted a bridge on Park Side Road, Kendal. Crews used vehicle stabilisation and shoring struts to secure the vehicle and extricated one casualty using an LGV platform and a ladder.

At 13:50 hours 2 fire engines and the aerial ladder platform atteneded a dangerous structure in Earls Lane Carlisle. Firefighters made The structure safe using the aerial ladder platform and then handed it over to building inspectors.

At 18:55 Hours on the 18th of August 2019, Two Fire Engines were mobilised to a female toilet cubicle on fire on Low Cross Street Brampton. Crews used one hose reel and breathing apparatus to extingquish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes.

At 13:35 on Monday the 12th of August, 4 Fire Engines from Cumbria attended and road traffic collision In Abbey town Wigton, this involved a private motor vehicle and an LGV, Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the casulaties from the vehicles. Crews were in attendance for severval hours alongside ambulance and police colleagues.

As a result of recent surface water flooding Cumbria Fire and Rescue have attended 11 incidents in the Carlisle area on the morning of Saturday 10th August. 6 of these incidents resulted in pumping of flood water to protect properties. Advise was given to occupiors of properties that had been effected by flood water at the remaining 5 incidents. One person was walked to safety but there were no casualties as a result of these events.

At 07:30 hours on 10th August 2019, two fire engines were mobilised to reports of Flooding at Ashdown Cumwhinton, Carlisle. On arrival crews found multiple houses to be affected by flooding. Crews used two Main Pumps, Light Portable Pumps and associated pumping equipment to move water away from the houses into a field. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours.

At 15:53 hours on 4th August 2019, two fire engines from Whitehaven were called to reports of a Road Traffic Collision on Moor Row, Whitehaven. On arrival crews found a Road Traffic Collision involving one car and one van with three casualties involved. One person was trapped and fire crews used Holmatro hydraulic and eDRAULIC rescue equipment to extricate the casualty from the vehicle. One casualty was conveyed by Great North Air Ambulance to hospital and two further casualties were conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

At 10:33 hours on 2nd August 2019, two fire engines from Millom and Ulverston were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on St George`s road, Millom. Firefighters made the vehicles safe using environmental grabpacks, crews administered oxygen therapy to one casualty suffering from shock. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.

At 09:01 hours on 2nd August 2019, four fire engines from Workington, Whitehaven and Frizzington were mobilised to a road traffic collision where a lorry went into the wall of a building on Main Street, Frizzington. Firefighters extricated one person from the lorry using Clan Lucas cutting equipment, one step ladder and stabilised using Stab Fast, crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

Crews used Swiftwater rescue equipment and collaborated with parner agencies to perform a search and rescue operation.

At 17:33 on the 31st July 2019, two fire engines from Whitehaven and Egremont attended a report of a building fire in Cleator. This was a fire involving a gas range cooker in a commercial premise. Fire crews extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and twenty minutes.

The incident was a fire involving a caravan, firefighters used one hose reel, one breathing apparatus and one thermal imaging camera to bring the fire under control and were in attendance for thirty minutes.

At 2344 hours on 27th July 2019 two fire engines from Egremont and Seascale attended a commercial building fire on Wasdale Road Gosforth Seascale. The fire involved a bed and a mattress. Two casualties were treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service but didn`t require hospital treatment. Crews were in attendance for one hour and forty minutes.
