At 20:38 on 18th June 2019 one fire engine from Brampton attended a vehicle fire near Hayton, Brampton. Two hosereel jets and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour.

At 08:37 hours, two fire engines from Barrow and Ulverston attended a rescue from height at Skiddaw Gardens, Barrow-in-Furness. One casualty was rescued using a triple extension ladder and a roof ladder. The casualty received first aid from firefighters before being handed to paramedics. Fire services were on scene for approximately twenty five minutes.

At 11:41 hours, three fire engines from Ulverston, Coniston and Millom attended a large vehicle fire at Moorside, Corney. The fire involved a tractor, crews used one hosereel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour.

At 09.04 hours, two fire engines from Carlisle attended an incident on Raffles Avenue, Carlisle. The incident was an explosion involving a cooker in a domestic property, one casualty was treated for burns and handed over to paramedics. Fire service were on scene for approximately forty five minutes.

At 14:23 on the 16th of June 2019, three fire engines from Brampton, Carlisle east and Lazonby fire stations attended a fire off the Newbiggin, Heads Nook, Brampton. On arrival the crews found a property fire and used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one jet and small tools to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for approximately three and a half hours.

At 20:25 hours on the 15th of June 2019 four fire engines from Ulverston, Millom, Milnthorpe and Grange along with two wildfire units from Grange and Millom attended reports of a fire at Humphrey Head point in Cumbria. On arrival the crews discovered a fire involving approximately 500 by 100 metres of grass and gorse spreading along the foreshore and cliff edge. Wildfire land rovers, high pressure jets, one major base pump, two light portable pumps and wildfire teams were utilised to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately three hours.

At 10:05 hours on 11th June 2019, fire engines from Keswick and Cockermouth attended a road traffic collision involving a car and motorcycle that was on fire on A591 Bassenthwaite Keswick. Firefighters assisted ambulance with casualty care, using one hose reel jet and a first aid kit. The casualty was taken to hospital by air ambulance. Fire fighters were at the incident for one hour and thirty minutes.

At 14:55 hours on May 30th 2019 two fire engines - one from Ulverston and one from Broughton fire stations attended a road traffic collision on the A5092 Lowick green Ulverston this involved one vehicle that had gone through a brick wall and there were four casualties at the scene - one baby was released from the car by fire service personnel and three other casualties were then placed in the car of the ambulance service - crews were at the scene for about forty five minutes.

Emergency Services are currently in attendance at a chemical fire at Cummersdale Printworks.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue received a report of a fire at around 11.10am.

There have been no serious injuries as a result of the incident.

Six employees were taken from the scene by ambulance, five were taken as a precaution only whilst the sixth was experiencing some minor issues.

Cumbria Police has put in place a 400m cordon and there is no risk to anyone outside this cordon. There is one property within the cordon. The people in this property have been advised to shelter and keep their doors and windows closed. This is standard advice with an incident of this nature

The incident is on-going and in line with appropriate professional advice, the fire is being allowed to burn out at this time.

The public is advised to avoid the area at this time and respect the cordon which has been put in place.

This was a fire involving the roof space of a domestic property; the fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera. A roof ladder and triple extension ladder was used to remove roof tiles, fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.

The fire involved one bungalow which was well alight on arrival. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus, one thermal image camera and two roof ladders to extinguish the fire. There was one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation who was given oxygen by fire crews before being handed over to the ambulance service. Crews were on scene approximately two hours.
