At 10:46 hrs on the 18th February 2020, six fire engines from Cumbria attended a building fire at Longtown. Firefighters used one hose reel jet and chimney gear to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for 95 minutes.

At approximately 18:20 an appliance was mobilised from Whitehaven to reports of a vehicle on fire. On arrival crew found a well-developed fire involving two vehicles. The fire was extinguished by firefighters wearing BA using one hose reel. Crews were in attendance for approximately 80 minutes.

At 13:24 hours on 14th February 2020, two fire engines attended a road traffic collision at Wigton. The incident involved two vehicles. Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to extract one casualty who was handed over to ambulance crews. Fire crews made the scene safe and remained at scene approximately forty five minutes.

At 10:03 on 14th February 2020 two fire engines attended a road traffic collision at Edenhall Penrith. Firefighters extricated one casualty who was medically trapped using stabilisation equipment. Crews were detained approximately forty five minutes.

At 19:31, two fire engines from Barrow and Ulverston attended reports of a caravan on fire at Duddon Road, Askam-in-Furness. This was a fire involving batteries and an inverter supplied by a wind turbine. The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.

At 19:07 on the 10th February 2020, two fire engines attended a report of a road traffic collision with persons trapped in Burneside. This was a road traffic collision involving two vehicles with one casualty trapped. Fire crews removed the roof of one of the vehicles using cutting gear and extricated the casualty with assistance from ambulance service. Fire crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and forty minutes.

At approximately 16:15 1 fire appliance was mobilised to the rescue of persons who were trapped in their property which was flooding. On arrival crews rescued three persons from the property using water rescued skilled firefighters and a boat. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately 60 minutes.

At approximately 13:00 3 fire appliances were mobilised to the rescue of a person who had fallen down the river bank. On arrival crews working alongside Police rescued one person from the river bank using working at height equipment. The casualty was treated by ambulance for a head injury. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately 80 minutes.

At Approximately 10:00 three fire engines attended a field in Keswick to assist in the rescue of around 70 sheep that had become stranded on a patch of land surrounded by flood water. Fire crews in water rescue PPE moved the sheep to safety. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately 3 hours.

On arrival crews found an industrial compactor which contained approximately 20 Tonnes of recycling waste. Crews used 2 main jets and a thermal image camera to resolve the incident and extingquish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.

On 2nd February 2020 at 09:32 hours three fire engines were mobilised to the A5093, Kirksanton. On arrival crews found one horse to be stuck in mud. One horse was rescued from the mud by fire service personnel using on site heavy lifting equipment and an animal sling. Fire service remained on scene for two hours and thirty minutes.

At 08:21 on the 31st of January 2020 Two Fire Engines and One Aerial Ladder Platform attended a reports of a chimney fire in Eskdale. Crews used chimney rods and the aerial ladder to extungquish the fire. Crews are still in attendance.

Two casualties were rescued by fire service and conveyed to hospital. Crews used two breathing apparatus and hose reel and were detained approximately one hour.

At 02:17 on 26th January 2020 two fire engines attended three storey domestic terraced building on William Street, Wigton. On arrival crews found the property to be heavily smoke logged due to un attended cooking. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation to clear the smoke. One casualty was rescued by fire service personnel and received oxygen therapy. Crews were in attendance for forty five minutes.
