At 10:12 hours on the 15th January 2021 three fire engines attended an incident on Pittwood road, Lillyhall. The Fire service assisted the ambulance paramedics with the removal of one casualty from entrapment. The Fire service were in attendance for just under one hour.

While on scene crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, crews also utilised a nine-metre ladder. Crews remained on scene for approximately thirty-five minutes.

Crews assisted with moving 160 cows to a place of safety. Firefighters used a water bowser, four main jets, a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and remained in attendance for over six hours.

Crews used twin rope access equipment to rescue on casualty. Casualty were handed over to North West Ambulance Service. Crews were on scene for around fifty minutes.

Firefighters used animal rescue gear, saw, lighting, angle grinder and farm machinery to extricate four cows from a slurry pit. Fire crews were on scene for over three hours.

Fire Service personnel administered first aid to two casualties who were than left in the care of paramedics. Fire crews made the scene safe and were in attendance for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
