    Taking place at Harrington Marina on Saturday 6 June from 10am to 4pm. A family friendly festival with live music, a fun fair, stalls, walkabout entertainment, meet the police dogs, RNLI, Coastguard, Fire Service and more.

  • Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada) (BGKT)
    BGKT was founded in 1991. Monthly 3rd Sunday Open meeting. All are welcome. The meeting is led by Lay Teachers Authorized by the Sangha [Community of Theravada Buddhist Monks]. Theravada is the oldest school of Buddhism in the world, and it is practised today in South and South East Asia. Meetings include mindfulness, tranquillity meditation, insight meditation, metta (loving kindness) meditation, and walking meditation, talks, handouts, Q &A. Tea.   • The Comedy of Errors - Workington
    Oddsocks returns to Workington once again with a performance of The Comedy of Errors; one of William Shakespeare's early plays. ... Set in the Greek city of Ephesus, The Comedy of Errors tells the story of two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth. Performances start at 7pm each night on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June and finish around 9.30pm. There is no charge to watch either performance and there is no need to book, just turn up!
