Kay's workshops are not about an end product but about exploring ideas and techniques to help participants develop their own ideas. Over 4 days Kay will teach the following skills to create your own beautiful quilt from scratch.
Workshop 1 - Dying and colouring - create a palette of materials through simple dying techniques.
Workshop 2 - Mark making and print - Add designs to fabric by simple mark making and print.
Workshop 3 - Improv quilting - Explore cutting and tearing your material, joining it, cutting it and joining it again.
Workshop 4 - Building and layering - Develop and add dimension to your art quilt with layers of sheer fabrics, padding and reverse applique.
