New library management system

On Wednesday 7 October 2020, Cumbria Libraries are launching a new library management system called KOHA. The library management system is used to issue and return books, manage requests and provides a catalogue of all our books and resources. As well as making sure we can deal with your information securely and efficiently, the new library management system will help us introduce some new and improved functionality for you.

Work to update to the new system will start on Friday 2 October and will last until Wednesday 7 October at 9.30am.  During this time, you won't be able to access the online library catalogue, online membership, Borrowbox ebooks and eaudiobooks, and Pressreader.

In our library buildings, during this time, you won't be able to access the library catalogue or self-issue machines and all loans will be recorded manually by library staff.  Also, you won't be able to book or use the public PCs.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
