    Read Regional authors are travelling across the north! Join us at Ambleside library for an evening with Andrew Michael Hurley. Andrew's first novel The Loney won the Costa Best First Novel Award and Book of the Year at the British Book Industry Awards in 2016, and is in development as a feature film.   • Katie Hale - Auithor Event

    Join us for an afternoon with Cumbrian poet and novelist, Katie Hale on 28th June, who will be talking about her new novel, My Name is Monster. Inspired by Robinson Crusoe and Frankenstein, My Name Is Monster is a novel about power, isolation, and female relationships. A terrific piece of writing; tough and tender and insightful. Loved it! Joanne Harris, author of Chocolat. The talk starts at 2.30 pm and tickets (£2) are now available from Grange Library.

    Ulverston author Caroline Gilfillan will be talking about her new muder mystery novel. Drawing on a long tradition 'The Terrace' is a modern version of cosy crime. Caroline will also talk about Cowslip Press her small publishing house based in Ulverston and the recently published poetry collection 'The Drum-Roll in the Dark' by David Bell Nicholson.
