  • World Book Night Big Book Swap

    Grange Library

    Join The Friends of Grange Library on 23rd April at the Big Book Swap in Grange-over-Sands Library to celebrate World Book Night. Swap a book, take part in a fun but fiendish quiz, listen to two local authors talking about their writing and enjoy a cuppa and some homemade cake. There are two book swap sessions: 3.30 to 4.30 pm and 7.00 to 8.00 pm.

  • Get creative Festival -Pixel Portraits

    Roll up your sleeves and come and paint some pixels to create giant portraits. We're celebrating the bicentennary of John Ruskin and the first female Dr Who by painting their pixel portraits, help us to fill in the pixels with paint, just like painting by numbers.     Listening to well known, stories, poems & prose. 2.00 to 3.00 pm at Ambleside Library on the third Thursday of the month starting on 21st January 2019. Come and join us for an hour of enjoyable reflection and rediscover some literary gems from your past - and unearth some new ones! Sessions are designed especially for those with dementia and their family carers. They will be led by Lesley Gill and supported by Yvonne from Dignity in Dementia. £2.50 per person to include refreshments.
