Kendal Library
Work starts at Kendal Library from 11 January to re-wire and install new lighting and heating in the historic ground floor area of the library. We will also be taking the opportunity to redecorate the library and enhance the range of facilities and services on offer including dedicated teaching spaces and space for events and community groups. We will continue to maintain an excellent range of books and online resources for the public.
The refurbishment represents a significant investment in the future of Kendal Library and there will be an impact on the services we can provide whilst the work is being undertaken.
Following the announcement of a National Lockdown in England we regret that Kendal Library will not be available for browsing, borrowing and returning books and other resources until further notice.
However, from 11 January, we will be offering our Select and Collect Service and you may book a PC for essential purposes including Universal Credit applications. PC access is for 45 minutes only.
From the 11 January our Select and Collect service and PCs can be booked during the following times:
- Monday: 9.30am to 1pm
- Tuesday: 9.30am to 1pm
- Wednesday : 2pm to 5pm
- Thursday: 9.30am to 1pm
- Friday: 9.30am to 1pm
- Saturday: 9.30am to 1pm (PC access only)
